The Pakistan-Australia T20I series beginning today at Gaddafi Stadium will feature several mouth-watering contests between star players from both sides, with the first match starting at 4:00 PM PKT.
Pakistan’s pace spearhead Shaheen Afridi will be tasked with stopping Australia’s explosive opener Travis Head, who has been in devastating form in recent months.
The spin battle will see Abrar Ahmed and Shadab Khan take on Australia’s Adam Zampa, with all three bowlers capable of turning matches with their variations.
Pakistan’s middle-order features Usman Khan behind the stumps and the experienced Mohammad Nawaz as the finisher, officials confirmed.
Australia’s batting depth includes Cameron Green at number six and Marcus Stoinis at seven, giving them multiple power-hitting options in the death overs.
“Both teams have selected attacking XIs that prioritize boundary-hitting over accumulation,” cricket experts noted.
Young Pakistani talent Sahibzada Farhan and Khawaja Nafay provide backup options if the top order fails.
Australia’s Josh Inglis will keep wickets and bat in the top order, adding another aggressive dimension to their batting lineup.
The three-match series continues on January 31 and concludes on February 1, all matches starting at 4:00 PM local time.
